The World Congress in Leipzig is not supposed to be just any event; we want it to be THE event, which the JCI world will remember for a long time to come. That is why World President Shine Bhaskaran, together with JCI Treasurer Kazutaka Amaki, visited us in Leipzig. Members of the COC, the Chamber of Commerce, JCI Germany, and the chapter of Leipzig showed him the trade fair and the city. They took him for a ride on energy-saving vehicles and he experienced what public viewing of the World Cup is like in Germany. Our President seems to have liked his visit very much. After his visit he sent us this message:

Dear JCI Germany National President Christian Wewezow,

I would like to sincerely thank you and the rest of your team for your hard work to organize an inspiring program for my official visit to JCI Germany. This visit was a great opportunity for us to unite under our shared mission, vision, and values and seek to create sustainable impact. Thank you as well to all who planned the great visit to Leipzig and the chance to consult with the many people involved in preparing for a wonderful 2014 JCI World Congress.

I am deeply grateful to your National Board and passionate members for their professionalism and enthusiasm to make this a successful visit. Thank you JCI Germany for your support and kindness to welcome me to your beautiful country.

I know we will be able to fulfill the JCI Mission and accomplish the 2014 JCI Plan of Action because of our sincere commitment and zeal. With the strong dedication of JCI Germany, I believe we will have a successful 2014 and far beyond.

I look forward to returning in a few short months to join with you as you welcome JCI members from around the world to enjoy the 2014 JCI World Congress in Germany. I wish you and your team all the best.

Let’s Unite to Impact!

Sincerely yours,

Shine Bhaskaran
2014 JCI President
